Getting started

What is Macen?

Macen is a proprietary trading firm. We give skilled traders access to simulated capital after they pass an evaluation, and share the profits they make on their funded account.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 18 or over who can complete identity verification. Our services are not available in some jurisdictions; you will see this at checkout.

Which evaluation should I choose?

The 1-Step gets you funded after a single 10% target, with a 5% daily loss limit and a 6% trailing drawdown. The 2-Step has two targets (10%, then 5%), a 4% daily loss limit, a static 8% drawdown and 1:30 leverage. The 3-Step has three smaller 5% targets, no daily loss limit and a static 5% drawdown.

What can I trade?

FX and CFD products, on all three programs.

How soon can I start trading?

Right after payment. Your login details are emailed to you and the account appears in your dashboard within a few minutes.

Evaluation rules

How does the daily loss limit work?

The daily loss limit is the most an account may lose in a single trading day: 5% on the 1-Step and 4% on the 2-Step. The 3-Step has no daily loss limit. It resets every day at 5:00 PM EST.

The limit is calculated from the greater of your prior day’s end-of-day balance, which counts closed profit and loss only, or your prior day’s end-of-day equity, which counts balance plus any open profit and loss. That way unrealised gains still open at the end of the day count towards the next session’s allowance. If you end the day with open positions in profit, equity is higher than balance and equity is used. If you end the day flat, or with open positions at a loss, the balance is used.

Example: a $100,000 account with a 5% daily loss limit. At the 5:00 PM EST reset the balance is $100,000 and open positions are in profit, so equity is $102,000. The limit is calculated from the higher figure, and 5% of $102,000 is $5,100, so the account breaks the limit if intraday equity reaches $96,900 at any point during the next trading day. With no open positions, or open positions at a loss, the limit would be based on the $100,000 balance, giving a breach level of $95,000.

How does the maximum drawdown work?

It is equity-based. On the 2-Step (8%) and 3-Step (5%) it is static: your equity must never fall below your starting balance minus that percentage. On the 1-Step (6%) it trails your highest account balance until it reaches your starting balance, then locks there. Breaching it closes the account.

What leverage do I get?

1:20 on the 1-Step and 3-Step, 1:30 on the 2-Step. Leverage stays the same on your funded account.

Is there a time limit?

No. Take as long as you need. You must place at least one trade every 30 days, or the account is closed.

Can I hold trades over the weekend?

On FX and CFD accounts, all positions must be closed before the weekend unless you have purchased the weekend hold add-on. The rule applies during the evaluation and on funded accounts.

What trading styles are not allowed?

Anything that exploits the simulated environment rather than the market: latency or tick arbitrage, copying trades between different traders’ accounts, and hedging across accounts. Full details are in the terms of service.

Funded accounts & payouts

How much of the profit do I keep?

80% as standard, from your first payout. Choose the 90% split add-on when you buy your evaluation to keep 90% instead.

How often can I withdraw?

Your first payout is on demand: request it from your dashboard whenever you like. After that, you can request a payout every 30 days.

What payout methods are available?

Payouts are available through crypto or Rise. Crypto payouts are sent in BTC, ETH or USDC to a valid wallet address. With Rise, you create an account, complete identity verification and receive your payout in USD, which you can then transfer to your linked bank account.

Payouts generally process within 24–48 hours. Your first Rise payout may take longer while you complete the initial account setup and verification.

Do I get my evaluation fee back?

No. The evaluation fee is a one-time, non-refundable charge and is not returned with payouts.

Account & billing

Which payment methods do you accept?

Major debit and credit cards, PayPal, and crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC and ETH).

Can I get a refund before I start trading?

No. Evaluation fees are non-refundable once purchased.

Can I have more than one account?

Yes. You can run several evaluations and funded accounts, up to a combined $1,000,000 in funded capital.

I forgot my password. What do I do?
